HOW DOES EN PRIMEUR OFFER WORK?
IN EIGHT STEPS:
You are selecting to buy wines that are still developing in perfect conditions of cellars of the Winery. The wines will be delivered to your address after maturing, bottling and dressing, typically a year after the vintage for Sparkling wines including the pétillant naturel or 3 years for the méthode traditionnelle wines.
If you need any advice, our Cellar Master is here to help. Please contact us.
You are ordering variety of wines at the lowest possible price. These wines are of very high quality and in-demand that will sell out later. You can earn profit before the delivery is made to you, launch your own wine brand, or simply enjoy drinking high quality wine at the best available price.
You are placing a direct order to the Winery, not to a merchant or a retailer, giving you a complete peace of mind.
All orders are confirmed through a short telephone call. We accept payment from credit or debit cards and bank transfer.
En primeur wines are priced ‘in-bond’, which includes maturation of wines in our Winery cellars managed by experts and controlled by Excise authorities, bottling and labelling with our own brand, shipping and delivery to your address.
Payment of import duties of your country and VAT, if applicable, will be requested once you take the delivery.
We send monthly, yes monthly, updates on the progress of your wine. The updates include facts, analysis and context on value appreciation of wines, wine development, current demand and outlook.
Sometimes quarterly reports may also contain in-depth market commentaries, and insights and highlights on significant wins and partnerships that are directly or indirectly impacting the wine value.
We usually face high demand for our wines. Sometimes we make an offer to repurchase your wines at a specific price, either to satisfy demand from strategic customers or to simply give you an exit opportunity earlier.
We notify you of such offers using your contact details we hold. If you are not interested in selling any of your wines, you do not need to do anything. You are not obligated to sell. However, if you believe that profit is sufficient and if you wish to sell then you should accept the repurchase offer.
When wine is ready to be bottled, we will ask you whether you want to have your own bottle and your own label. Our own Tiwari House bottle and label are included in the price of En Primeur wines. We will request additional cost payment for your own bottle and / or your own label.
Bottling and labelling require a minimum quantity of wine to operate successfully. Minimum 200 bottles are required if you choose your own label on Tiwari House bottle. Minimum 1000 – 1200 bottles are required if you choose your own bottle and own label.
Shipping and delivery of your wines to your address is absolutely free. However, before shipping, you will be asked if you would like to store the bottled wines with us or have them delivered to you. Choice is yours!
Tiwari House insures all the wines stored in its Cellars either at the original en primeur invoice value or at the replacement cost.
If you haven’t sold your wines, now you must drink and enjoy the wines based on our annually updated drink dates.
Your wines can continue developing in bottles. However, their prime time depends on several factors such as bottling method which is highly advanced at Tiwari House; quality of bottle closures; grape varieties that blossom or die with age; your own palate of preferencing primary fruit aromas and flavours versus complexity and secondary characteristics; natural preservatives and stabilisation achieved in wine; cellaring conditions where you are keeping your wines; etc. Despite all these variables, we provide a conservative estimate of drink by date with some contextual information.
There are no en primeur offers. Please visit this page again between January and March.
